Extension conversion 2023: New rooms put into operation
Kleintierpraxis am Obersee GmbH has been expanded since the summer vacation. So far, this mainly concerns the 'internal rooms' such as the treatment area with the operating rooms, the wards for the patients, the laboratory and the offices. The entrance area with the reception will be renovated in 2024.
The new preparation room for operations and dental treatment:
This is where the animals are prepared for operations in the sterile operating room. However, treatments and minor non-sterile procedures can also be carried out. These include, for example, dental hygiene and dental x-rays as well as Tooth extractions.
The new sterile operating room is generously sized and well equipped:
More demanding operations are also performed at the Obersee practice, for which sufficient space is required so that the team can work together and the necessary technology can be set up and operated. This includes an inhalation anesthesia machine with monitoring, electrotome, mobile X-ray unit and, depending on the procedure, suction pumps and much more. Powerful LED lighting, air conditioning and ventilation create the necessary working environment.
The new high-tech in-house laboratory:
For a quick and reliable diagnosis, we can rely on our state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, which is also used by reference laboratories. We are also one of the first practices in Switzerland to work with scanner technology that reads a wide variety of samples (from blood to feces) and uses artificial intelligence to evaluate the corresponding images of cells or pathogens and compare them with thousands of reference images. If the results are still uncertain, we can call on international experts 24/7 around the clock to analyze our data online
Adaptations to the existing rooms:
Now that we have more space available, we can gradually adapt the existing rooms. There is also more space available in consultation room 2. It is used in particular for eye and ultrasound examinations.
